About Tacos Pipeye

Tacos Pipeye is a mexican restaurant in Santa Barbara, California. It is listed at 217 N Milpas St #3281, Santa Barbara, CA 93103, which places it among the local businesses of Santa Barbara that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Google also lists it under mexican restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. The most common schedule is 6 am–9 pm. It is closed on Monday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Tacos Pipeye at (805) 770-8979; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

Traveling through SB and took a chance at stopping here. What a great experience! Owner and staff very friendly and guided us through the menu. Food blew us away! We had five different tacos, tortillas were handmade. Great salsa bar. Plates are generous. Easy access from 101. Be ready for typical SB street parking Will be back again

Delicious tacos! Everything was wonderful and the staff were so considerate. We had a shellfish allergy in the group and they were super careful to make sure there was no contamination with shrimp, we really appreciated it. Definitely recommend!

Pretty standard Taco shop with highlights being homemade Tortillas, the Flan, and friendly service. The food was a standard Taco shop, simple tacos, with good meat but no special flavor. I appreciate more flavor with spices pr deeper marinades so I wasn't blown away. The Tortillas are the highlight of this shop as they are making them right there. The salsa bar was also pretty standard with no extra special items. Onions, Pico, Cilantro, and 3 levels of salsa. Service was friendly and prompt. Quick to help and answer questions when needed. Atmosphere was simple, nothing special, and parking here can be very difficult. Just street parking and that can be full because of surrounding businesses.

Best tacos we had in a long time! Seriously so good we ordered a second round. The handmade tortillas melt in your mouth. You know it’s good when you’re talking about bringing these tortillas home so your mom can try them ❤️ This spot is my new favorite taco joint in CA…just perfection. Good vibes, service, and salsa bar.

A taco standout on Milpas Street, and that’s saying a lot. Four tacos for $12? In this economy? Respect. Especially when they’re made with handmade corn tortillas that actually hold up and don’t fall apart mid-bite. My regular order includes the barbacoa, chicharrón, mushrooms, and rajas con queso. Solid across the board. The barbacoa con consomé deserves its own shoutout. Rich, comforting, and not overdone. The salsa bar is legit, ranging from mild to spicy with all the proper taco fixings. No sad toppings here. Drinks are on point too with rotating aguas frescas, Mexican bottled sodas, and yes, they’ve got chelas too. Service is fast, the setup is casual, and it’s the kind of place you can hit for a quick lunch or an easy dinner without overthinking it. Bonus points for being friendly to both meat lovers and vegetarians. The eastside neighborhood has no shortage of tacos, but this spot earns its place in the rotation. No gimmicks, no hype, just good tacos done right.
